USLS Outfit 003 Celebrates Golden Anniversary

The saying, “Scouting never stops” has always been one of the most iconic taglines in the scouting movement. It signifies consistency in the movement and shows one’s passion and dedication. Hence, the Explorer Scouts of the University of St. La Salle – Bacolod embodied this manifestation as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of their Outfit.

The Outfit was founded on September 21, 1971, with its first batch through Mr. Butch Portez, under the institution of the University of St La Salle-Integrated School (USLS-IS). It was registered under the Negros Occidental Council and became the 3rd Outfit of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

In the following years, the explorers participated in various jamborees and scouting at provincial, regional, national, and even international levels — adding further glory to their name by winning 3 Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of the Philippines (TOBS) and continuing the march until this day.

The celebration of 50 years doesn’t signify the end nor any hint of slowing down for the outfit, yet this will lighten up their passion for scouting even brighter as new generations of explorers venture their scouting journeys under this outfit ever-continuing its glorious legacy.
