Scouts are Beacon of Hope in the middle of COVID-19

The COVID-19 Pandemic continues. But then, so should the spirit of Scouting!

Albeit limited, efforts in Scouting are still possible during the pandemic. Amid the challenges and obstacles imposed by law and the threat of the Coronavirus itself, lie countless opportunities for us Scouts to carry on in practicing scoutcraft and do good turns for their communities

The spirit was demonstrated by the Scout volunteers of various Scouting organizations in Palawan who participated in post-typhoon operations after the Super typhoon Odette last month, wherein they joined in the relief and cleaning operations in various areas in Puerto Princesa City. Another way Scouting is kept alive is through the Rover Circles United 08 from Cabanatuan city, who actively serve in their Church communities and commit themselves, Stewards of the Planet Earth, pledging to the 10-point manifesto of #PromiseToThePlanetPH.

These efforts are among the many examples of Scouts’ efforts that have been taking place during the pandemic. Through these efforts, our Scouts have become the light that shines brightly to reveal that hope can still be found; that is helping others we may inspire others to do the same and together rise out of the ashes of a post-pandemic Philippines.
