Quirino Council Scouts conduct post-election clean-up drive

SAGUDAY, Quirino—Scouts from Quirino Council conducted a post-election clean-up drive last Friday, May 13, around two barangays in Saguday, Quirino Province.

The areas chosen for the clean-up drive are the two barangays of Magsaysay and Rizal. The Scouts removed election campaign materials still posted along the streets.

10 Scouts and three adult Scout leaders participated in the clean-up drive. The participants came from four institutions: Saguday National High School (SNHS), Cabarroguis National School of Arts and Trades (CNSAT), Quirino General High School (QGHS), and Diffun National High School (DNHS).

The participants assembled in the SNHS campus and began the clean-up drive at 7 o’clock A.M. More Scouts joined the effort later in the morning.

The clean-up drive ended at around 10 o’clock A.M., and the participants filled three sacks with campaign materials. They deposited the sacks in a nearby material recovery facility for proper disposal.

The participants conducted the clean-up drive in response to National Office Memorandum No. 30, series 2022. The memorandum called on Scouts to help clean their communities of campaign materials.
