Community-based Scouting Unit Celebrates First Year

TIWI, Albay — The first-ever Barangay Scouting Movement in the Philippines, Ticket to Life – Coro-Coro Scouting Unit celebrates its first founding anniversary with the theme “Barangay Scouting: Transcending Boundaries, Empowering Communities.”

Jubille Marlourd D. Lucena, Founder of Ticket to Life – Coro-Coro Scouting Unit (TTLCCSU) planned and signed a resolution on March 5, 2021, with the Sangguniang Kabataan Coro-Coro to organize a Scouting Unit in the barangay.

The anniversary celebration kicked off with messages from the Scouters of the Unit, followed by the awarding of the Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of Coro-Coro and special awards with Atty. Je Clerigo, who handles the case of the late Scout Jaderey Colarina.

“This year was a blast even if there are hardships and challenges that we face, but we remain still and dedicated. Here in Coro-Coro scouting unit, you were able to build skills and serve as a role model to all teens in the community.” Scouter Kenneth Peñaflor tells the Scouts.

The Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of Coro-Coro, in no particular order:
