BSP-NOC held its 67th ACM

Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Negros Occidental Council (BSP-NOC) held its 67th Annual Council Meeting with the theme: “Commitment to Excellence”, last August 13, which installed Governor Eugenio Jose V. Lacson as Honorary Chairman and Third District Congressman Jose Francisco B. Benitez as Honorary Member.

Vice President for Visayas and Victorias City Mayor Francis Frederick P. Palanca formally opened the 67th Annual Council Meeting

Victorias City Mayor Francis Frederick P. Palanca, Council Chairman/ VP for Visayas, officially opened the meeting which was preceded by Teresa Asidoy, WBH (PSDS, Victorias II) who formally welcomed the guests and participants on behalf of the District and SDS Marsette D. Sabbaluca, CESO VI, WBH on behalf of the Division.
The Keynote Speaker, BSP Secretary General, Engr. Rogelio S. Villa, Jr. was introduced by the Regional Scout Director for Western Visayas, Michael A. Indoma, LT. Also, via Zoom was DepEd Region VI Regional Director, Dr. Ramir B. Uytico, CESO IV who gave an inspirational message.

The first plenary session was presided by ES Atty. Dax Malony Montealegre, Executive Board Member, followed by the updates from Council Scout Executive, Roberto P. Maguad, LT; Hon. Palanca who disclosed the Council Operation for 2020; and lastly, the 2020 Treasurer’s Report by the Council Treasurer, Cong. Leo Rafael M. Cueva, ES.

In the said event also occurred the signing of Pertinent Documents for the proposed City Schools Division of Victorias City; the Election of eight Board Members for the Local Council Executive Board (LCEB); and a consultative meeting of the school heads to discuss the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 10 s. 2018 or the “Support to the Boy Scout of the Philippines”, the DepEd, DBM, and DILG Joint Circular No. 1 s. 2020 or the “Addendum to DepEd-DBM-DILG JC No. 1 s. 2017”.

The said event was hosted by the Victorias City Scouting Committee with over 300 participants, most of them attending via Zoom.
