CANDABA, Pampanga—The Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Central Luzon Region (CLR) and the Amateur Media Association of Philippine Scouts (AMAPS) inked partnership for the conduct of the 2022 Virtual Regional Scout Youth Forum on March 11.
The regional office of the BSP-CLR tapped the independent Scout-led journalism group to provide technical and promotional assistance in the conduct of their RSYF.
In an interview, CLR Regional Scout Director Manuel Isidoro III said that they asked for the group’s help for its contribution to promoting their regional activities.
“I am confident that once again AMAPS will play a big part in the success of the 2022 Virtual Regional Scout Youth Forum,” Isidoro said.
He also mentioned that AMAPS is one of the groups that have helped the BSP to remain relevant online during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Director for Scouting Affairs Jan Khim Gamora represented AMAPS for the partnership.
“AMAPS trains its members not only to be journalists but also to be managers—handling projects and events is not new to them. We also have different teams that will handle the technical and marketing requirements of our partner,” Gamora said.
He added that they are grateful for the trust of the CLR headed by Isidoro. Gamora assures them that they will do their best and even go the extra mile to serve the Scouts of the Central Luzon Region.
Isidoro on the other hand expects that AMAPS to promote the said event and their upcoming activities. He added that this will bring awareness to the young people of the best of joining the Scouting movement.
“The camaraderie, the fun—it is more than camping. And the highlight of being a Scout is not only inside a jamboree but in the culture of the Scout Oath and Law that they can apply as a guide throughout their lifetime,” Isodoro ended.
The Virtual Regional Scout Youth Forum of the Central Luzon Region will happen on March 22-24, 2022 via Zoom teleconferencing app.
